Sarah Fenn-Tye |
Sarah is the principal teacher & founder of "The Live Wire School of Dance" which was founded in 1996. Sarah started to dance at the early age of 2½ years and has been dancing ever since, obtaining an all round training in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Ballroom & Latin American. At the age of 5 years Sarah decided that her ambition was to run her own dance school and she has been working towards this ever since. She has been an ISTD/NATD qualified dance teacher since she was 21 years old. |
Sarah competed in Ballroom & Latin American from the age of 12 years. She danced for the South of England in ‘Come Dancing’ at the age of sixteen, represented the country in Ballroom & Latin American dancing as a Junior, Youth, Amateur and Professional in the UK and Abroad, and even competed in the World Professional Classic Show-Dance (Segue – Exhibition Dancing). During her competitive career she danced with partners from England, Australia and the Czech Republic! Despite all these achievements and experience in the dance world, Sarah felt it was necessary to broaden her skills so she qualified as a YMCA/RSA Fitness Instructor and Personal Fitness Trainer before starting her dance school. Since running her dance school she has had another successful career as a competitive dancer in Line Dancing & American Style couples. She used to run a highly successful team “The Live Wires” who became British, UK & European Champions and were placed 3rd in the World Championships. She has trained numerous World & European Champions who achieved success in their own level and age categories. She also danced as a Line Dance Superstar, which is the top level possible coming 2nd in two successive World Championships and won three World Championship titles in Pro Pro American Style Couples with her partner from New York. Sarah now retired for a second time from competitions and from judging and is now concentrating her efforts on the development of her school, studying the new forms of popular dance and producing Live Wire Dance Shows.
